PENTICTON

Scott took a week off of work in August and we headed to Penticton to visit family. Cherry season was just finishing up and we helped for three days and then played hard. Here are some of the highlight for the week. 

We went boating on Skaha Lake in Aaron and Nadia's boat. The kids love to tube.

                  Visiting great Grandpa before we head to Tickleberrys for ice cream and then headed back home. We had a great visit with our family, just wasn't long enough. We enjoyed the beach, spending time with family, went to Tim Horton's and watched a lot of Olympics. We all had a blast!!!

Griffin Family Reunion

My siblings(and families) and parents all 29 of us got together for a week for a Griffin family reunion in Idaho Falls. We decided to celebrate all the holidays in one week, since we never get to celebrate them together.  DAY 1-June 30. We started off with the New Year and making goals(or plans) for the week.

DAY 2-July 1 (Canada Day)

My youngest sister Amy and hubby Jeremy with my niece Hailey May on her blessing day.

     We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Dennis and Jena's(oldest sister) home.

Celebrated Canada Day singing Oh Canada!We played a trivia game to test the Americans on their Canadian knowledge, watched a skit Johnny and Jena made and lit fireworks.

We also started Valentines Day by writing messages to everyone in their own individual books.

DAY 3-July 2

My youngest brother Brandon is an Award Winning Film Maker.  Today was filming day with all the husband while the wives took the kids to the zoo.

DAY 4-July 3

 St. Patrick's Day Green Breakfast.

We went to Fiesta Ole for lunch to celebrate Cinco De Mayo. Then went Christmas shopping. We then got ready for family pictures.

DAY 5 July 4th

Celebrated the Fourth Of July, Flag Day and Presidents Day.

Kenna started the day off with a run at the IF Firecracker 5k with 2 of her cousins, Dustyn and Hunter.

That night we went to the Freedom Celebration Fireworks in Idaho Falls.

DAY 6 July 5
We celebrated Christmas!!!!

We made the traditional Christmas breakfast, had a program and opened presents.

We had to do the talent show.  The girls did a rap to Johnny's song that he wrote in the 90's with Tony.

Johnny did a magic show. He was the Cheez since The Whiz wasn't available. 

Look at the awesome gifts that were given. The toilet plunger was the best!

DAY 7
Celebrated Easter

We also celebrated April Fools Day. Jon was in charge and got us all good. He replaced the frosting in a box of oreo cookies with mint tooth paste. First couple of nibbles was good and than the cookies became gross. He also put in toilet paper that was really hard to tear.

That night we celebrated everyones birthday with a pinata!

 

 Then we had my brother's High School Graduation party.

DAY 8

A couple of my siblings and families left today. The rest were leaving in the morning. 

We took Hannah and Kenna to get their ears pierced.

The adults went to Texas Rhodehouse for dinner. Then some went to The Amazing Spider man and others went to The Lucky One. We had a great family reunion.  This was our schedule for the week.

We had a blast and love spending time with everyone!!!!!
