Colby turns 3

Happy Birthday to our "Big Boy". He wanted a Thomas cake and Thomas presents for his birthday!!!

A year

It has been a year today that my grandpa passed. I have been thinking about him the last couple of days. I want to post some things that he made for me when I was a child. I hope to post them soon. He was one of a kind and who I try to be like. I was lucky to grow up with him in the same town. I have wonderful memories with him and I love him so much. So glad I am a part of his forever family.

The Secret Garden

Shantae tried out for The Secret Garden play at school presented by the Missoula Children's Theater. MCT travels to different school and for 6 days goes to each classroom and does theater workshops with them and then after school selects and teaches students a different play every year. Shantae worked hard at home practicing to speak slow, loud and clear, and then was chosen for a small speaking part. She was thrilled. They worked everyday for a school week from 3:15pm to 7:45pm learning a play with one small break. Then On Saturday did a dress rehearsal and two production to the parents,families and friends. She did a great job and was Sheep#2.

Cyclones

I helped coach Shantae's basketball team this past winter for the YMCA with Coach Matt. We ended the season 8 and 2. Lost twice to the same team. They were really good but we made them earn their win. The girls were a lot of fun to coach! The Cyclones team players were, Ava, Ellie, Gabrielle, Gwyneth, Julia, Madison, Mali, Shantae and Stella.

Christmas 2011

We stayed home this Christmas. Colby was the last one to wake up Christmas morning. The Kids opened their stockings and we went to church. Came home ate breakfast and opened up presents. We took our time. Shantae was surprised to get a Hamster, she named Frostie. We had a good Christmas!

Ward Christmas Dinner 2011

The young men(and Leighton) did a Reindeer skit and the young women sang Santa Claus is Coming to Town and did a Naughty and Nice list.

October 2011

My mom, Dad, Brandon, Dennis, Jena and Chantal came for a visit. The Tiger Volleyball Team was playing in North Idaho. The Tigers ended up winning the Idaho State Volleyball Tournament. So fun to watch! Chantal, Kenna and Tae had way to much fun at nights together.

Purple Dinosaur

Colby has been on the nebulizer for the last week. He has a cold induced Asthma. He went from 6 treatments in a row, to one every 3 hours to four a day and today he starts two a day. Over all he has been very good taking his treatments. He likes his Dinosaur mask.

H-a-l-l-o-w-e-e-n

Colby was Pooh Bear. Kenna a soccer girl. Tae a nice witch. Colby has been sick. We went to about 20 houses. He liked getting the candy and wanted more. Colby was in the ER Friday with Asthma like symptoms. Doc is treating it like a virus that induces Asthma. We didn't want to be out too long with him. Now on to November with Thanksgiving coming soon.

Shantae seems to improve every game. The last game of the year she was starting to look and play like a soccer player. I think she even grew a couple of inches since I last saw her play a couple of weeks ago. She loves having coach DeMille as her coach. He is fun and always teases her about having to tie her shoelaces during every game. See pics for proof. Tae just finished up her fall season and is now into basketball.
