We took our time getting ready for the day. Went to Wal-mart, then to Shell to pick up a CD to help guide us on the road to Hana. I get car sick and was worried about this trip. Glad I went as it was so beautiful there. So green, with beautiful waterfalls and gorgeous flowers and beaches. The road was very winding with over 600 curves and 54 bridges. We stopped a lot on the way so I didn't get sick going to Hana. On the way back home we didn't stop and I got sick the last two miles out of all the curves. We had to stop for a minute to rest. I was glad the sickness didn't last long.

Day 6
We left our condo in Kihei and went to our hotel in Wailea about a mile south. The city of Wailea is so beautiful. Kihei was pretty but did not realize how close we were to an even more beautiful place. Before we went to the hotel we tried to find Makena beach. We saw it from the car and stopped by this sign to take a picture of McKenna in the city Makena. This is our hotel room at The Grand Wailea. It was a beautiful resort and one of the nicest on Maui. Thanks to Scott for all his travelling so we were able to use some hotel points to stay here a couple of days.
Footprints in the Sand.
The rest of the pictures are on the grounds of The Grand Wailea Resort
Pictures from our lanai.
The bridge the girls crossed to get to the pool.

A little chapel if you want to get married in Maui.

We went to the Outback for dinner. The girls stayed in a room with grandma and grandpa and Scott and I had Colby. He woke up a lot during the night. We went to bed early every night in Maui. Somewhere between 8:30 and 9:30pm. Maui is 2 hours behind Spokane and plus the daylight savings time we had. We tried to stay with the Spokane time.
