Shantae graduates from Kindergarten

Finland Wins Gold!!!

The APPLE program at McKenna's school had their Spring Event yesterday. It was rainy here so most of the events were held inside. The APPLE program has 100 kids in it. At the beginning of the school year the kids were grouped into 15 different countries. McKenna chose Finland with her friend Brenna. 10 Fridays during the school year they spent the afternoon learning about their countries. McKenna loved learning about Finland. Their food, culture, currency, activities, etc...

At the Spring Event this year they decided to have a mini Olympics representing the countries. They had the opening ceremonies and then they played favorite games from these countries. After that they did some family games, a pizza party with an awards ceremony.

Finland won gold!!! Way to go McKenna!!!

Shantae

Shantae was born in Edmonton, Alberta. She has always been good natured and in her own world. She will sit for hours and play toys. She loves anything to do with princesses. She is all girl. She is in Kindergarten and loves being the Helper and Leader at school. She really wants to take ballet and in the last few weeks has showed an interest in Soccer and Basketball. She has many stuffed animals that she plays with and they are now apart of the family. Her oldest animal she got when she was about three and named her strawberry and she still play with her all the time. She lover her birthday and plans them all out a year in advance and sticks to the plan. She loves to learn and is geting smarter. She is the baby of the family but doesn't want to grow up because she wants to always play with toys. She asked Scott if adults get toys when they grow up. He said yes but they get different kinds of toys. Like computers, cars, ipods, etc.

McKenna

McKenna was born in Provo. At age 14 days she moved to Penticton Canada for three years and then Edmonton Alberta for 3 years. Then back to the states. She is in 4th grade. Her favorite subjects are math, PE and Recess. She also enjoyed studying Finnland this past school year. She loves soccer, basketball and capture the flag. She is very much a Tomboy. Loves to be outside and active. She is like a monkey, likes to climb on monkey bars. She is getting interested in Mountain climbing. She loves being around her cousins and looks forward to seeing them all this summer. Her favorite colors are red, black and green. She loves to eat at Panda express. She also enjoys webkinz world.

Cari

Cari was born in Ogden Utah 32 years ago today. Getting older! She came out so fast and was almost dropped by the doctor when she entered this world. Raised in Idaho Falls with three sisters and two brothers. One brother was born when she was 18. Cari loves indoor sports and spent most of her youth and teenage years in a gym playing volleyball, basketball and cheerleading . She also loves gymnastics and to watch cheerleaders perform awesome tricks on TV. She loves to play board games, cards games, etc. She also loves ultimate frisbee. She enjoys scrapbooking. She met Scott at Ricks college and got married soon after. Her joy in life is family and loves being a mom. She also loves to go to new places. Her goal is to visit all the fifty states. Her favorite places to go are anywhere there is family. She is certified in Massage.

Family Facts about Scott

I haven't really had much to write about. So, I decided to blog some fun facts about our family. (Took the idea from my sister)

We will start with Scott.

Scott was born in Alberta, Canada and adopted at two months old. He grew up in Penticton, BC and has one older brother, Aaron. His family owns a cherry orchard. Scott learned from a young age how to work hard. He has always enjoyed the outdoors. Use to collect Rocks ( Something Tae likes to do now). He loves to hike, fish, hunt, ride motor bikes and camp. He loves Karate and is one belt away from a black. Scott loves to eat anything sweet. He is also good at Soccer(McKenna loves soccer too.)He served a mission to Ohio. Graduated from BYU and went to NAIT. He has been married for almost 13 years. He works for Siemens Medical and loves his job. He has two girls.

The Phantom Of The Opera is coming to Spokane in October. I purchased tickets today. Scott has wanted to go as long as I have known him. I almost bought him tickets to the SLC one in 1995 for a wedding present, but didn't. So finally we are going 13 years later. I wasn't a huge fan of Phantom until I met him. I love the music.

Soccer Update

McKenna played her last soccer game of the season last night. This game was a make-up game beacuse of all the not so great weather we have been having here. McKenna scored the first goal of the game . As we were watching we realized we played this team last fall. They have a really tall girl and she always pushed our girls around and scared them a little. Not last night, our team played sooooooo aggressive. The best play of the night came when the other team kicked the ball at their goal. It went past our goalie and you can see the ball almost going in when McKenna ran so fast and kicked the ball away before the other team scored a goal. Our cheering section went crazy! What a save McKenna!!! We have loved watching McKenna's team improve. This being McKenna's first year I am quite impressed how fast she has learned this game. Although we aren't suppose to keep score. Mckenna's team make 4 goals and the other 3. What a fun night of Soccer!!!

Tae's birthday Pictures

So Shantae turned 6 yesterday. It is hard to believe my baby is 6! We woke her up yesterday morning singing the birthday song. I think she was in a deep sleep because her eyes popped open really fast wondering what was happening. She went to kindergarten and the kids sang to her. Her principal gave her a pencil and a bear to hold for the day.

We had dinner and then presents and cupcakes. She had a great day and right before bedtime she wanted us to sing the birthday song again.
