Once upon a time in a land not to far from here. There was a soccer game being played against the undefeated Wenatchee Fire and the SV Dragons. The Fire team was well known by many of their opponents as a very aggressive team, with great kicks, lots of pushing and awesome acting skills. The Fire team was looking for another win and scored the first goal of the game. But the Dragons knew they needed to be tough and fight back. A girl named Kenna from the Dragon team was dribbling the ball up the field and shot the ball at the goal with three players from the opposing team in her way. She was able to get the ball past the players and the goalie and scored for the Dragons to tie up the game. The game was so intense, especially with the great acting skills from the Fire. They fell down a lot on purpose to get the referee to call a penalty on the Dragons. Wow it worked every time. But some asked if that was really soccer, when you trip over your own feet and the other team gets the penalty? The Dragons were annoyed with all the acting skills and drama of the other team but just wanted to play soccer. At half time the Fire team's coach was complaining to the referee about all the pushing the Dragon were doing, when in reality it really came from the Fire team, with the Dragons defending themselves. The coach had the referee wrapped around her finger with many bad calls going against the Dragons the 2nd half and a few good calls for the Dragons against the Fire. The teams ended up in a tie and ruining the Fires perfect season. All the parents on the Dragon's team were thrilled for the Dragons and their hard work and were grateful the drama from the Fire team was over. Wait... but it wasn't. The two teams came face to face to congratulate the other team on the tie. Many of the girls on the Fire team wouldn't congratulate the Dragon team and especially Kenna from the Dragons because she had scored the goal that tied the game. Kenna was trying to give the Fire girls high fives. One girl moved her hand away and so Kenna kept going and then she saw the Fire's coach and gave her a high five, but as soon as she did the Fire's coach said, "hey number 7 don't slap me". Of course the nice polite girl Kenna is said sorry. But Kenna was thinking I only gave her a high five. So the Fire coach went over to Kenna's coaches and said she had a problem with their number 7. So Kenna's coach asked Kenna to come over and Kenna told all the coaches she didn't slap her but gave her a high five. The Fire coach was a little embarrassed but Kenna's coaches backed Kenna up and realized that the Fire coach was just upset her team tied. The Dragon team realized that the Fire team were not very good sports. Kenna went back to her parents and explained what happened and she was quite upset. Kenna was soon comforted by her coaches, players and family. She realized the Fire team had some issues and she wasn't in the wrong. And now Kenna and her Dragon team will live happily ever after knowing they played a great game and stopped the Fire from a perfect season.
Moral of the story.... I don't know you tell me.

You know your a redneck, I mean a bad mother when........
*your baby gets sunburned from a soccer game that you thought would be cold but ended up beautiful with sunshine. (Poor baby with a red face for church , but at least he didn't get a Redneck).
*your oldest daughter gets accused of slapping the opponents soccer team coach.(story later)(didn't I teach my daughter not to slap people).
*for Mother's Day you get a moldy plant from your family.(Its the thought that counts-but it should turn out beautiful if I don't kill it first.)
*for Mother's Day dinner you get some of your husband's left over dinner from the night before.
*and you know your a bad mother when your baby decides on Mother's Day that he no longer needs to use you like a cow. I guess he is officially weaned.
The good thing is that I am not a redneck, oh wait maybe after this post I am a redneck.
Okay so I really don't think I am a bad mother, but I am glad I am a Mother and have a family that loves me and kids that love me no matter what. I am also grateful for the Mothers I have in my life. I am blessed!

Story Time
We have had nice weather here, so Monday we took the kids out for a walk/bike ride. Then yesterday Colby brought me his shoes for the first time. I put them on his tiny feet and then he went to the door and looked out the window. I thought maybe he wanted to go outside like we did Monday night but wasn't sure. I didn't think he would remember we need shoes on our feet to go outside, plus he likes putting my shoes on himself, so I just went on cleaning house. a half hour later I took him downstairs to get the laundry and he took me to the back door. I knew he really did want to go outside. Too bad it was nap time. But after nap and dinner he was finally able to go outside with McKenna, Tae and dad while I went to a meeting. He loves it outside and this morning he brought me his shoes again. Funny kid.

I love this message!!!!
I saw this on one of my friends blogs and stole it. This is how I "C" it too. Love it and she put it in the best words ever.
Today, as Jav was watching Shrek, he said, "Your a princess mom." "I'm a princess?" To which he replied with a mischievous smile, "No, you're not a princess." "Oh, well what am I?""Your a mama!"And that's the truth of it! In the worlds eye (and sometimes mine on a bad day) I am just a mama covered in bodily fluids, food, snot, and dirt. With my sweats and ponytail, I often look very disheveled and unattractive. To the world, I need a makeover (and I probably do)! To the world, I should use my education and do something important! In the Lord's eye, I am a Queen. I am a woman who has given up much in order to raise my boys. I have submitted to the goo and gross stuff for a bigger purpose; for the most important job there is. I AM A MAMA! My boys don't care what I look like, they love me no matter what. They love me when I'm crabby, when I don't feel good, when I look horrible. They love me when they probably have good reason not too! They are the perfect example of perfect love, Christ's love!
So, yes, I might be in my sweats or pj's for the umpteenth day in a row, and I might not have make-up on, and I might smell like a mixture of dirt, spit, and cheerios but I am a QUEEN and I am a MAMA! I have the most important job on earth...and most of the time I do alright! I get paid in smiles, giggles, and snuggles. I get paid in thank you's and "you're the bestest mom ever!" I get paid in watching my boys grow up to be kind, thoughtful, unselfish, and forgiving! There is no salary better than this! For this, I am thankful!

He campaigned this last week and gave his speech today and was elected. His slogan was "Anything is Possible".
