11 Months

Mom please wash my face.

1 month away from turning 1. Colby cut two more teeth two days ago and now has a total of six. He likes to say "what's that" all the time now, he also says Jesus, cracker, ball, dada, mom, hi and a few others. He started walking everywhere a week ago. He loves his teddy bear that he knows as baby, likes the girls basket and soccer balls. Sleeps great through the night and loves having a blanket with him. Takes 2-3 naps a day. Loves to eat and is still very stubborn, but I love his kisses.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!!

The kids enjoyed green waffles and milk. They made leprechaun traps. No luck catching one but candy was left.

I had to throw in a couple of pictures of Co-Co. I know this post is a day late but had technical difficulties yesterday!

Breaking News.......

Daddy's coming home!!!!!!!

Scott was offered a job in our hometown that he accepted. The girls are very excited that dad will be home every night. Colby will be happy to have another man in the house more with all these girls around. Scott will continue to travel the next couple of weeks. Then have a week with the girls for Spring Break and get some work done around home and then start his new job April 5th.
The last three years having daddy travelling around has been hard, but his company has been pretty good to him. He will miss the people but looks forward to his new job as a ultrasound quality control coordinator. He will still travel around our town and neighboring cities and sometimes to Seattle and Phoenix but he will be home a lot more then he is now and most evenings.

Best Of Both Worlds!

I was born in the US and have aways been patriotic towards my country. The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. In fifth grade, I remember studying the 50 states and their capitals. To this day I still remember every state with their capital. I have enjoyed trying to teach my children and husband the states and capitals. I also remember in grade school being fascinated with Canada. Maybe because my sister went on a trip their with my grandparents. Later, my brother was called to serve a church mission in Winnipeg, Canada for two years. I was able to hear some of his experiences and learn more about this beautiful country. Mainly, that is was cold way up north and you could get frostbite. My brother proved that first hand or should I say foot? I always wanted to go there but little did I know that someday I would end up living there for awhile.

I married a Canadian and we have three beautiful children. They love being a part of both nations. We lived in Canada for six years and are now back in the USA. I have been fortunate to feel the patriotic feelings that my Canadian family and friends have towards their country and have come to love Canada. 10 is my favorite number and I have waited along time for the Vancouver games in 2010.
The last two weeks with the Olympics in Canada have been so wonderful. I felt a small connection with the Canadians and found my self cheering for the Canadian and US athletes to do well. I did cheer for Canada to win the gold in Hockey. I felt it would be an end to a great Olympics and Canada deserved it. I was happy with all the results of the games except I wish the Canadian Women's Curling team took gold instead of silver, but as I saw them come into the closing ceremony at the Olympic stadium with the silver around their necks and their big grins, I knew they felt a great accomplishment of how well they had done for their country. I was moved by this. Yes, I still love my USA but am fortunate to have the best of both worlds and cheer for both teams. The US had the most Medals ever won by a country in an Olympic Winter Game and Canada had the most Gold Medals ever won by one country in the Winter games. They both did great.

Thanks to my parents for introducing me to sports and the many hours we watched the Olympics together when I was young. I love them and now will go through the withdrawal as they end. I am proud to be an American with a Canadian family. Thanks to Canada and ALL the Olympic athletes for giving us a wonderful Olympics!!!!I love my American and my Canadian families. I feel so blessed.

Big Helper

Time to clean out the fridge. Always easier with two people, right? Colby was a big help. He really wanted to eat the balls (apples) in the fridge. Somehow it took longer than normal to clean.

10 MONTHS

Colby received a sweater from a lady Scott knows through work.

This morning Colby was between Scott and I in bed as we were cuddling. Colby says dada dada, and about ten seconds later he says mom mom and then said babo for baby. It was the cutest thing and put a smile on our faces. We are fortunate to have a beautiful little boy.

Be My Valentine!

I finally got a vacuum that sucks. I love it! Call it my Valentine's present if you want. Although Scott did take me out for dinner to celebrate his love for me. McKenna stayed home and watched the younger two. We decided we need to go out more often without the kids.

Aaron

We had a great weekend in Penticton. Sorry the photos didn't turn out great, but this is what I have of this great occasion. Aaron was baptized by his brother Scott and confirmed by his father Cam. Aaron is trying hard to set a great example for his boys. Doing great Aar!
McKenna and Shantae loved being with their cousins. Brandon and Brad were really good with Colby and wanted to help watch him. Brandon even fed him breakfast one morning.
After the baptism we went out for Chinese food. Yum!
The kids were all so good this weekend. We played charades and a Mafia game.

What handsome men. We love you Aaron!!!

9 Months Today

Colby is now 9 months old. He stopped army crawling at 8 months and went into crawling. He is such a busy boy as he loves to climb. He says hi daddy and only says mom when he is crying and really wants me. He loves to eat anything he can gets his hands on. Really likes rice, noodles, baby bananas and applesauce. Usually when daddy is around he wants to be with him unless it is feeding time. Colby has four teeth and loves to bite things. He will go after your nose so be careful. He will stand for along time by himself until he realizes, wait I am standing I better get down. He likes to walk around things and use his hand held walker. I have been training him to sleep through the night and the last week he has done so well. (10 hours a night). He likes to dance to the music! He is 21 lbs and growing.
